Kensington Oval in Barbados has a long cricketing tradition. It was the first to host an English touring team, under R. Slade Lucas in 1895, the first venue of a match between a combined West Indies team & an official MCC side in the West Indies, under A F Somerset in 1911, and the scene of the first Test in the West Indies, against England, in 1930.
